Issue:
The uncertainty of the healthcare marketplace led the CEO of a major pharma company to initiate a scenario planning project. At issue was the importance of generics and consumer empowerment, as well as price pressures.

Action:
Spearheaded scenario planning project to anticipate U.S. Healthcare Marketplace ten years forward with implications for long-term strategy. Engaged senior management, customers, internal customer-facing management and external opinion leaders.

Result:
Extensive analysis and a wealth of information was consolidated into clearly articulated alternate visions of the future healthcare marketplace, with implications for pharma for each scenario. Recommendations were utilized as input to strategy development and remain valid today.
