Global Teamwork Challenge

Issue:
A Market Leader in the Women’s Health segment encountered delays in technical development of a new product. The US subsidiary in-licensed an alternate product, but the global organization did not. US and European market differences were complicated by local licensing deals and differences in regulatory requirements. There was a high level of conflict on project teams across geographic and functional areas.

Action:
Through intense collaboration with global and local teams, a Global and U.S. Women’s Health Strategy was developed. Led U.S Project Team responsible for technical, clinical and regulatory activities through NDA approval for new product.

Result:
Gained management approval for US and Global strategies. The US and Global teams created aligned development plans to minimize overlap and collaborate more effectively. Secured rights to future product improvements from licensor to extend lifecycle of product.
