Compliance Reporting Systems Strategy
Issue:
The government focus on compliance
and regulation of pharmaceutical marketing practices created a
need for monitoring and reporting spending at the physician level.
A major pharma company’s
reporting systems resided in disparate functional areas, without
interfaces or common terms for customers or spending and had
siloed reporting platforms.
Action:
Developed a strategy to aggregate spend by customer, across functional
areas. Built operations to ensure compliance with guidelines.
Coordinated efforts with OIG & State Law Task Forces, as
well as owners of individual source databases and reporting systems.
Result:
The implementation of recommendations is currently underway.
